The first game of Group D England Vs Croatia was played in Wembley arena.
The game started with Croatia linking their passes well and pushing the attack.
England got into the game and within 10 minutes Phil Foden got close to goal as he hit the post.
Another talking point was Kalvin Philips shot from outside which was saved by Livakovic.
Croatia warmed into the game and started controlling play with England showing tiredness from their high pressing style .
The second half showed an improvement in England’s passes and play as they had more faster passes and pushed for play.
In the 57th minute England’s best performer Kalvin Philips was able to put the right pass in to set Raheem Sterling up who finished well and scored England’s only goal of the game .
The game finished 1-0 with Sterling’s goal securing three points for the Three lions. Kalvin Phillips of Leeds showed a top performance for the English side .
