Edinson Cavani’s future at old Trafford is still in the air with the Striker preferring a move to Argentina than extending his stay at United.
Ole Gunnar has made it known that he wants to Cavani to stay in the club however club legend and Sky pundit Roy Kean believes United can’t challenge for titles with Cavani as their man upfront.
Keane believes Cavani is past his good days and United are better off looking at other options. He said ‘ I kind of hope in one sense they don’t keep him, because then they might look and think we don’t need to go and get another (striker),’ Keane told SkySports.’He’s 34, if you’re hanging your hat on Cavani next year to getting United back to winning league titles, forget about it. ‘He’ll be a back-up striker and he won’t want to be a back-up striker, so that’s why he’s reluctant to sign a new contract and there’s obviously family reasons behind it.’
Manchester United are currently interested in Haaland but he is currently expected to remain at Dortmund for one more season.
