Some Uber and Bolt e-taxi drivers in Lagos on Saturday asked the e-hailing organizations to promptly expand passages being charged by the administrators, bombing which they would go off the streets on Monday.
The e-taxi administrators, under the aegis of Professional E-hailing Drivers and Private Owners Association (PEDPA), took steps to leave on the strike if their requests were not met.
Mr Idris Shonuga, National President of PEDPA, at a news meeting in Lagos, called for guaranteed upward audit of e-taxi tolls to mirror the current financial reality in the country.
As per Shonuga, more than 95% of e-hailing exchanges are fulfilled through Uber and Bolt stages.
He said that the organizations had would not survey its evaluating in spite of exceptional expansions in the cost of fuel, vehicles spare parts, food things, and other fundamental products in the country.
“In a mission to work and agreeably at settling a few issues, the affiliation composed a few letters to the organizations which was not taken care of, showing casual demeanor towards our predicament.
“Your organizations have fizzled, rejected and fail to respect our solicitation for a gathering to talk about issues gainful to all e-hailing drivers in Nigeria.
