Alexandre Lacazette led the Arsenal squad in taking a knee during the national anthem before a Europa League match against Slavia Prague on Thursday night.
The Czech team’s Ondřej Kúdela has received a ten-match ban after allegedly racially abusing Rangers and former-Arsenal player Glen Kamara during a game in March.
“The players asked me and the club. They wanted to take that initiative and they had the right reasons for it, so the club and I were very supportive. “Thankfully the referees and UEFA have been supportive as well, so I think it was a good gesture.”
