Roma defender Chris Smalling was robbed in his home in front of his wife and two year old child this morning. Reports in Italy have it that the robbers broke into the house of the player and forced him to open his private safe. The robbers were said to have carted away valuable items.
The issue of footballers getting robbed is becoming an issue as a recent one in Paris was Di Maria’s home being robbed while he was in a match. In Italy , the homes of Weston Mckennie, Ribery and the Coach of Roma have been burgled while they were in a match.
Chris Smalling is currently considering his options for a move away from Roma and this incident might further push the player’s desire to leave the city of Roma.
