Kimberly potter, the police officer who shot Daunte Wright on Sunday, April 11, has been arrested and charged with second degree manslaughter.
She’s still in custody and may face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of the charges brought against her.
She was arrested as a result of killing Daunte Wright during a traffice stop. She claims that she shot Daunte accidentally. She claims to have brought out a gun instead of a taser.
The news of the killing went far and wide which lead to a violent protest leading the state of emergency in Minnesota .
