Jesse Lingard has become a whole different player since moving to West Ham as he now has eight goals in 9 matches which also saw him return to the England squad for the first time in a long while.
His wonderful performance has seen him attract interest from top clubs in Europe but as of now he is due to return to Manchester United. Manchester United currently value him at 30million and with one year left on his contract, they could either sell him or keep him to act as a backup to Bruno Fernades . Who are the clubs interested in Jesse Lingard?
West Ham are currently enjoying Lingard’s service and one would expect that Lingard will be happy at the London Stadium. They are currently the favourites in the case for Lingard and qualification for the champions league might also give them a good case in the pursuit for Lingard but West Ham are not looking to fulfil the swap deal interest of Manchester United involving Declan Rice and Lingard.
Arsenal are surprisingly in the chase for Lingard but as of now it’s not a strong interest. Their main target for the summer window is Odegaard but with Real Madrid making it a complicated one they could opt for Jesse Lingard if the Odegaard move fails. They have reportedly offered a deal to Hakan Calhanoglu of AC Milan and if that works , Lingard might not move to the Emirates Stadium. Their current position in the league keeps them out of Europe and failure to win the Europa league might mean no European football for Arsenal next season and that won’t put them in a good position in this pursuit.
Real Madrid are currently sitting pretty in their league and their run in the champions league is still on . The Uncertainty of Zidane’s future puts all transfer talks on hold but with Isco bound for an exit and Odegaard likely to move, Madrid might be looking to Lingard as a suitable player to replace the gap left by the departure of both players.
Pochettino has been in the market for an attacking midfielder since he signed at PSG. His main target has been Dele Alli but with Daniel Levy making it tough for Adele Alli to move, PSG my opt for Lingard.
