Sen. Rochas Okorocha and his wife, allegedly arrested for unsealing their estate without court order
Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha and his wife, Nneoma, have been arrested for unsealing a property that was taken over by the State government.
It is reported that a team of government officials and police, led by the Commissioner for lands, Barr. Enyinnaya Onuegbu, on Friday, invaded the Royal Spring Palm Hotels and Apartments, allegedly owned by Nneoma Rochas Okorocha and sealed off the property.
According to a source, Sen. Rochas had today, gone to the estate to unseal it and word got to Governor Hope Uzodinma and he ordered their arrest for flouting the State government order,
However, IgbereTV reports that an aide to the former Governor, was allegedly shot by Governor Hope Uzodimma’s security personnel while trying to reclaim the property taken over by the State government.
It is also reported that the Hope Uzodinma led-administration, last week, allegedly recovered the Eastern Palm University from Rochas Okorocha and renamed it.
