Borussia Dortmund have appointed a rival coach as their new head coach .

Borussia Dortmund have appointed Marco Rose as their new head coach and he is expected to take over at the end of season. This comes as a surprise to many football fans as Marco Rose currently coaches Dortmund’s rival Borussia Monchengladbach.

Dortmund have been under the guidance of Interim coach Edin Terzic since December following the dismissal of Lucien Favre in 2020. Dortmund who currently sit 6th in the Bundesliga standings will be looking to turn their season around to be able to contend for a place in Europe. Thomas Tuchel was the predicted successor but a return to the Iduna Park was cut shut when Tuchel completed the move to Chelsea .

Dortmund are yet to make an official announcement but Borussia Monchengladbach have already made the announcement on their twitter page.

German football has always being one with many twists as we have seen on many occasions Rivals taking players and coaches for their rival team which is something not common in European football .
