Ajax have omitted the name of their record signing Haller in their Europa squad list

After signing Sebastian Haller from West Ham United during the January transfer window, making him their record signing, Ajax have forgotten to include the striker in their Europa League squad list.

The Dutch giants spent 23 million euros on the Frenchman this winter, and he has since played seven times for the club, scoring two goals and providing four assists.

But when Ajax submitted their squad list to UEFA for the Europa League’s knockout rounds, they forgot to include Haller’s name.

“He’s not on the list and we’re trying to find out what went wrong,” club spokesperson Miel Brinkhuis told AD. “We’ve contacted UEFA and the KNVB to see if they have a solution.”

Curiously, Ajax did remember to include another new arrival, Oussama Idrissi, on the list.
