“For the first time, he heard something that he knew to be music. He heard people singing. Behind him, across vast distances of space and time, from the place he had left, he thought he heard music too. But perhaps, it was only an echo.” ― Lois Lowry

My name is Fowowe Samuel Olaniyi, an Afro artist from Nigeria. Nothing much really, just a regular talented guy you hardly come about.

MEANING OF Y.M.B

Y.M.B means Young Money Bathe. An interpretation of my surname “Fowowe”. I decided to add young to it cause I want to live to forever young, I have this thing for vampires 😁

The passion for music started when I was in Senior Secondary 2, big shout to my Gee “Papi Rugio”. He low-key motivated me to do this. We used to vibe together back then in class room, at that moment I discovered myself and realised I have the call to do this.

Y.M.B has released some music which KONJI has been one of them.

Konji in a night time music. Y.M.B got the inspiration from the experience HE had at Uniabuja with some Peng Ting.

They both had a one night stand, just a night stand and he keeps me wanting for more.

I feel the song is slept on, Konji is not the regular music you listen to everyday, it comes with a mood everyone crave, we all have a thing for someone we want to see again. With time I believe it will grown on my audience.

HIS INSPIRATION

Myself, I push myself all the time. My inspiration comes from my experience. As an artist you have to stay truthful to your art. It just like being a man of God, you have to practice what you preach.

Everyone someday looks up to some people especially as an upcoming artistes. When Anthonia Gist asked who he looks up onto, He said, “Yeah. I look up to The Weeknd and Wande Coal. Uncle Wande inspires my Vocals and the weekend is a tutor to me”

HIS AIM AND OBJECTIVE TOWARD MUSIC

When Anthonia Gist asked REY YMB what music is for him, He said,”Music is a full time thing for me. That’s my purpose, it’s just music, music and music”

I’m always working on something. I will be dropping a song anytime soon, titled “Make I Tell you” I have couple of unreleased projects down, I’m just taking my time.

I’m open to any record label that’s ready to make me do my thing. I just want to sing about how I feel, I don’t wanna change myself for anything I don’t feel. You get me??

For the passion i’ve got for music I have got a studio in my room so I am always in the studio.

The things I do when am not doing music are reading, playing video games, seeing movies and going for walks just to clear my head.

In the next two to three years, I see myself as one of the headliners of Afro Beat in Africa and the World. I believe with prayers and consistency everything is possible.
